This new green olive oil is produced in the organic olive groves of the Skourtis family in Chiliomodi of the Corinthian prefecture, and the olive variety is “Manaki”. Since Hippocrate’s time (400 BC), the “first oil” or new green olive oil, is considered a medicine for many illnesses.
Contemporary studies and research have proven that the two elements which can only be found in this particular oil, which are “eleasini”, a strong antioxidant and “eleokanthali” with anti-inflammatory properties, are ideal for the cardiovascular system, cholesterol, diabetes and other illnesses. After the passage of 6-7 months, these properties disappear, and the olive oil maintains all the beneficial elements of an organic extra virgin olive oil.
